Saskia Sanderson, PhD

Saskia leads the Behavioural Science team at Our Future Health, which will be the UK’s largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to prevent, detect and treat diseases.

She conducts and facilitates research that supports translating advances in genomic and other technologies into improved human health. Throughout her career she has focused on harnessing genomics for earlier detection and intervention to diagnose, treat and prevent diseases and conditions that impact physical and mental health. Saskia is a behavioural scientist and chartered health psychologist, and during her academic research career she has held positions in universities and hospitals in the UK and US.

She holds a PhD in Psychological Aspects of Genetic Testing for Complex Disease Susceptibility from UCL.
